Description

Over £1billion of R&D tax credits goes unclaimed every year in the UK. In order to help companies access all of the support that they are eligible for, Jumpstart will host a free workshop on 19th February 2015 on claiming R&D tax credits.

Jumpstart are the UK’s leading tax relief experts, employing 20 Technical Analysts, all of whom come from a scientific or technological background and have a comprehensive knowledge of HMRC’s R&D tax relief legislation.
The event is open to any company small or large who are trying to improve a product or service through technological advance, and therefore could be eligible to make a claim. This will primarily include sectors such as Digital Media & Creative Technologies, Environmental Research, Food & Drink, Life Sciences, Engineering, Manufacturing, ICT & Software but the scheme is open to all.

Paul Wigley, Client Engagement Manager for Jumpstart, will be delivering the workshop and commented on what companies could expect to get out of the event:
"With over 100 technology businesses across the Innovation Birmingham Campus, it’s vital that R&D tax relief is claimed wherever possible to continue to support and encourage innovation within this vibrant business community. However, understanding HMRC’s guidelines for eligibility and making a claim is not straightforward – and can be both daunting and time-consuming. As a result some companies simply do not bother!

The purpose of this workshop will be to give clarity to the types of projects and activities that may be eligible (including real case studies) and to demystify the apparent complexity of the entire process. Attendees should be much better placed to assess the likelihood of their company being able to claim R&D tax relief and how to get expert help to progress to the next step.

The financial benefit is on the table and it makes sense for companies to take advantage of it. That’s where we can help.”

Lunch will be provided for all attendees, courtesy of Jumpstart.
